Back on the road (and a boat) for Beastie & Me to visit the magical Isle of Wight. We caught the Ferry from Portsmouth to The isle of Wight. We drove straight on to the ferry, left the car on the bottom deck and enjoyed the ride with Beastie on the upper decks. Dogs are welcome to ride on the Ferry but must be kept under control at all times.
The ferry ride is only 45 minuets and once you have landed on the other side you just drive your car our of the Ferry and off you go….Road Trippin’…
The Island is just lovely, all farms and old buildings, ports and boats, lanes, shops, pubs and restaurants, it really has something for everyone!
We stayed at the super dog friendly East Afton Farm Dairy.
A delightful renovation of an old dairy, offering excellent self catering accommodation in a rural setting. Close to Freshwater Bay, East Afton Farm Dairy is perfect for exploring the stunning coastline on the south of the Island. With stylish furnishings inside and sunny patios outside and set on a working farm it was just perfect for us.
We had the most amazing time walking on the beach
We loved walking along the white cliffs and breathing in the clean, fresh sea air.
Watched a lifeboat being launched!!!
We took another boat ride to see The Needles which was fantastic.
And while The Beast and took the stairs back up the hill…our travel partners took the easy option…
We found beautiful old machines…
And really had the best time ever!
But as all things, even awesome road trips, they have to come to an end and it was all aboard and back to the main land for us!
The End….for now!
